OUR HISTORY
In 2001, James Goodman and Sean Nelson teamed up to start a company offering software solutions through a suite they developed together, and Genesis Networks was born. The initial team operated out of a small office in downtown San Antonio and provided its solutions to customers in the communications industry. The company quickly increased its service offerings to accommodate customer needs and began what has become a decade of rapid growth.
Fast forward to 2010, and Genesis Networks has increased its first-year revenues more than 17,000 times over and now employs more than 700 employees in subsidiaries and offices around the world. The company has expanded from its beginnings in software services to become a major provider of network, IT and supply chain solutions to the communications industry.
Genesis’ kick start began with a major milestone in 2003, when it received a contract to complete a nationwide audit of network inventory for a leading telecommunications provider with 1,500 offices across the United States. Over the next three years, Genesis won several more software and network projects that facilitated the company’s growth both in services offered and available resources. During that time Genesis also became a certified reseller of HP and IBM hardware and became a preferred supplier for two of its large national customers.
In 2006, Genesis partnered with Abilene Christian University to create Genesis Networks Solutions, a rural-sourced provider of software testing and development services located in Abilene, Texas. 2007 marked a significant milestone for Genesis when the company purchased its network staging and logistics facility in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2008 the company earned the distinction of Cisco Certified Gold Partner. And in 2009, Genesis entered the supply chain business when it won a contract to distribute set top box hardware for consumers’ homes, supporting the roll-out of a leading telecom provider’s revolutionary IP television offering.
In 2010, Genesis Networks was named the fastest growing solution provider in all of North America by CRN Magazine recognizing its 658 percent revenue growth over the previous year. Recently, Genesis completed a joint venture with ATC LE, a leading logistics company, and acquired a controlling interest in Austin Tele-Services, a leading communications equipment company. These moves paved the way for expanding Genesis’ solutions offerings to its customers and continued business growth.

OUR VISION
Genesis….powering the communications value chain
The convergence of ubiquitous access to high-speed broadband networks, increasingly intelligent connected devices, an explosion of applications and social networks, and increasingly sophisticated customers is creating a phenomenon we call the Connected World. In the Connected World, end user customers demand and receive anytime anywhere access to people, information and services that enhance their lives. The business and technology ecosystems required to support this Connected World are still evolving. The Connected World business ecosystem consists of complex relationships between communication service providers, network equipment providers, wireless device manufacturers, computer hardware and software companies, application developers, retailers, and aggregators such as Yahoo or Google. This business ecosystem is responsible for operating an even more complex network, IT and logistics infrastructure that must be seamless to the end user customer. Genesis Networks understands this Connected World business ecosystem, its underlying infrastructure, and the business opportunities they represent.
Genesis is dedicated to working with our partners and customers to deliver the Connected World.
