James GoodmanJames Goodman, Founder and Chairman
James Goodman has served at the helm of Genesis Networks since he founded the company in 2001 and is the driving force behind Genesis’ direction and growth. Mr. Goodman has nearly 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications and information technology industries with more than half of his tenure spent creating and growing two successful companies from the ground up. Prior to his current endeavors, he held executive positions with Harvard Manufacturing and Bell Atlantic. Mr. Goodman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

Brian FoxBrian Fox, Chief Executive Officer
Today, Genesis has expanded into new sectors including energy, medical devices, and public entities, while making forays into cutting-edge technologies such as fiber networks and software-defined networking. Mr. Fox is focused on growth, penetrating new markets, and leading innovation for proprietary technologies.  

Mr. Fox has technical expertise in the strategic use, design, and monetization of current and leading edge technologies including cloud, open systems, and virtualization.  Prior to Genesis, he transformed a fledgling company into a leading systems integrator for the Fortune 50, building cloud enterprise applications.  Early in his career, Mr. Fox served as a flight test engineer for unmanned aerial vehicles at the Naval Air Test Center. He holds a Master of Science in Systems from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Fox has developed algorithmic trading systems and presented key addresses on Big Data and advanced predictive analytics in intelligent systems at the Transportation Research Board. His interests include bridging engineering and machine learning and extracting value from the tsunami of data from the prevailing use of sensor technology in the Internet of Things. He has presented at the National Academy of Sciences on decision methods and developed investment models for multi-billion dollar research and development programs.  

Mr. Fox has been married for 30 years to his college sweetheart Cheryl and has two lovely daughters Emily and Sarah. He is an obsessively mediocre golfer and loves the outdoors. Mr. Fox has volunteered at   youth and missions organizations for 25 years. 

 

Cathy KincyCathy Kincy, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Kincy has managed Genesis' accounting, finance and operation teams since joining the company in 2004, where she has played a key role in changing the face of the company's finance, accounting, project and payroll reporting systems. Prior to Genesis, she served as controller for Santikos Investments where she led the financial and human resources teams, implemented corporate policy and managed acquisition efforts. Ms. Kincy also was business finance administrator at Everest Investment Management and spent 14 years at Interstate Management where she was promoted to controller responsible for consolidating financial reporting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Business and Finance from Stockton State College and continuing education classes in business administration, accounting specialization and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Sean NelsonSean Nelson, President
Mr. Nelson has been in leadership with the Genesis family of companies since inception in 2001. As a project manager, vice president of operations, president of Genesis's corporate division, and now with a dedicated focus on Genesis subsidiary WaveCreste, he has had a hand in every aspect of the company and has championed its success over the past 14 years. He was previously a consultant at SBC Communications and a mathematician and programming analyst at Oberthur Gaming Technologies. Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from The University of the Incarnate Word. In 2010, he was named one of The San Antonio Business Journal's "40 Under 40."
